私たちは「パラレルワールド」という概念を考えるとき、初めて「自分」という存在を強く意識する。
この作品は、その意識の構造を視覚化したものである。
青と赤の等間隔の斜線は、それぞれ独立した世界線を意味する。全ての世界は交わることなく、等しく存在するという前提に基づいている。
その中で、今自分がいる世界線を朱色で示した。
ひとつの世界に立っているという自覚は、他の世界の可能性にも思いを巡らせる。その普遍的な自己意識を、画面中央を貫く白い光のラインで表現した。
When we consider the concept of parallel worlds, we begin to recognize the existence of the “self.”
This work visualizes the structure of that awareness.
The evenly spaced blue and red diagonal lines represent separate worldlines. Based on the idea that all worlds exist equally and never intersect, they are depicted as parallel.
Among them, the worldline we currently inhabit is shown in vermilion.
To become aware of standing in one world is to contemplate the possibilities of others. This universal self-awareness is expressed as a white beam of light running through the center of the canvas.
